Maddington Recycling Facility
The Maddington Recycling Facility is designed for resource recovery from:
- Construction and Demolition waste – C&D Recycling Facility
- Commercial and Industrial waste – C&I Recycling Facility
C&D waste includes waste from demolition and civil construction activities, including roads and buildings.
C&I waste includes waste from schools, restaurants, offices and industries including manufacturing and retail as well as wholesale businesses.
The Maddington C&D recycling facility can sort and crush 300,000 tonnes of waste per annum with over a 98% recovery rate. Commodities from the recovered material include:
- road base,
- sand
- 20mm and 35mm aggregate
These commodities are sold into the civil construction market. Any residual materials is transferred to the C&I facility for further processing.
The Maddington C&I recycling facility is state of the art, and can process 200,000 tonnes of waste per annum with over a 90% recovery rate. Commodities recovered from C&I waste include:
- plastic,
- cardboard,
- wood
- ferrous and non-ferrous metals
All feed material is sourced from independent commercial skip-bin operators and a number of local government authorities.
