Our Operations

M8 currently owns and operates two resource recovery facilities:

• Construction and Demolition waste – C&D recycling facility
• Commercial and Industrial waste – C&I recycling facility

The C&D recycling facility key features include:

• constructed and commissioned in 2007
• sort, crush and screen approx. 300,000 tonnes of waste per annum with a landfill diversion rate of over 98%
• C&D material is sourced from the civil construction market
• products produced from the recovered material include road base, fill sand and a variety of aggregates
• recycled products are sold back into the civil construction market

The C&I recycling facility key features include:

• construction completed in late 2013 and commissioned in early 2014
• process approx. 200,000 tonnes of waste per annum with a landfill diversion rate of over 90%
• C&I feed is sourced from local councils, residual materials from the C&D recycling facility and skip-bin contractors
• a number of commodity streams are recovered including: plastics, wood, metals and cardboard.
