Our Operations
M8 currently owns and operates two resource recovery facilities:
- Construction and Demolition waste – C&D recycling facility
- Commercial and Industrial waste – C&I recycling facility
The C&D recycling facility key features include:
- constructed and commissioned in 2007
- sort, crush and screen approx. 300,000 tonnes of waste per annum with a landfill diversion rate of over 98%
- C&D material is sourced from the civil construction market
- products produced from the recovered material include road base, fill sand and a variety of aggregates
- recycled products are sold back into the civil construction market
The C&I recycling facility key features include:
- construction completed in late 2013 and commissioned in early 2014
- process approx. 200,000 tonnes of waste per annum with a landfill diversion rate of over 90%
- C&I feed is sourced from local councils, residual materials from the C&D recycling facility and skip-bin contractors
- a number of commodity streams are recovered including: plastics, wood, metals and cardboard.
